For the filter we designed this intake to use the largest filters that we could fit into it and that is either the Amsoil EaAU4091 or the filter that S&B custom makes for Icebox, the IB-4091. Both filters are made from the same mold and are identical except for the filter media. The Amsoil is a dry filter media that you just blow off to clean and the S&B filter is a cleanable filter that you can re-oil and use for many years.

When you install an Icebox Cold Air Intake you can expect to better throttle response, a gain in your overall torque and horse power plus lower EGT's and better overall gas mileage. One question that we get asked a lot is "What kind of mileage increase can I expect to get?" but that is something that we just can't tell you because each vehicle is different and everyone drives differently. When you install your new Icebox Intake you might be so impressed with the increased performance of your truck that you get into the gas pedal a bit more and actually get worse mileage. You can choose from the oiled Icebox IB-4091 made by S&B Filters or the dry Amsoil Nanofiber 4091 Air Filters. It's really your choice on whether you want a dry filter or one that you can wash and clean and then re-oil.

Note: these 4091 filters have a screw that comes out of the end of the air filter and some ask what this is for but this is not used with the Icebox Intake installation. So just don't pay any attention to it.

All Icebox "Original Series" Intakes are constructed out of 16 gauge cold rolled steel that has been precision cut on a plasma cam then bent, welded and then powder coated in your color choices. Nuts and screws are either Stainless Steel or Zinc.

These Eco Green Air Filters are quality built with a stainless steel inner core mesh with a polished stainless end cap for a long lasting filter. In addition they use a unique process to mold their filters that gives you up to 25% more air flow through their interwoven cotton fabric. The 3 main benefits to woven cotten is that it is thinner, holds oil better, and is stronger. Since its thinner, it allows better air flow without sacrificing filtration. The cotton holds the oil more evenly, and the medium is much stronger. Unlike gauze, you cannot wear a hole in woven cotton by rubbing it, and there is no way small bits of cotton can rip off since its interlocked with another piece.
