This Icebox intake for this Ford Powerstroke model is a unique design that encourages a fresh cool air flow from the front of the truck grill area around the battery into the filter, as well as encouraging the cool air flow from the factory opening in the fender well. All while blocking as much heat from the engine compartment as much as possible. Your factory intake hose is used to connect to the Icebox Intake.

The battery tray is also replaced with a durable molded tray that won't rust sitting on top of your new Icebox Intake. We have recently changed how the side panel behind the battery is attached and now instead of welding it in it is attached by screws so that if you decide you can leave this panel off to encourage more air flow. You just don't want your battery to splatter acid on the filter.

We have built this Ford Power Stroke Icebox Intake to use either the Amsoil EaAU4090 or the custom filter that S&B makes for Icebox the IB-4090. Both filters are made from the same mold and are identical except for the filter media. The Amsoil is a dry filter media that you just blow off to clean and the S&B filter is a cleanable filter that you can re-oil and use for many years.

When you install an Icebox Cold Air Intake you can expect to better throttle response, a gain in your overall torque and horse power plus lower EGT's and better overall gas mileage. One question that we get asked a lot is "What kind of mileage increase can I expect to get?" but that is something that we just can't tell you because each vehicle is different and everyone drives differently. When you install your new Icebox Intake you might be so impressed with the increased performance of your truck that you get into the gas pedal a bit more and actually get worse mileage. But installing a quality cold air intake like the Icebox Intake will tend to improve all of the performance areas mentioned above because it will let your diesel pickup get the large volume of free flowing air it needs to help it perform better.

If you are looking for long lasting durable finish that you don't have to worry about we recommend the Silver Vein or Black Mini Texture finishes for the bases or for the lid and the base. You can add a splash of color by adding color to the lid. Or let your imagination go wild and choose your favorite color combination!

You can choose from the oiled Icebox IB-4090 made by S&B Filters or the dry Amsoil Nanofiber 4090 Air Filters. It's really your choice on whether you want a dry filter or one that you can wash and clean and then re-oil.

Or if you have another Brand Air Filter that you prefer, you can order your Icebox Cold Air Intake without an Air Filter. It's your choice and it's great to have choices.

All Icebox "Original Series" Intakes are constructed out of 16 gauge cold rolled steel that has been precision cut on a plasma cam then bent, welded and then powder coated in your color choices. Nuts and screws are either Stainless Steel or Zinc.

Included with your order will be Installation Instructions, mounting hardware and your air filter selection.

Typically when you place your order we will either have your intake either prebuilt and ready for powder coating or we will build it when your order is placed. We know how excited you be to get your new Icebox Intake so we do our best to ship it within 3-5 days or sooner depending on our schedule.

Our goal is to ship within two business days of your order, not counting weekends, but we will not rush the process as we want you to get an intake that you will be proud of for many years.
